We had presented four articles with subject myths and facts about global warming. If you are our regular reader, how good is your knowledge now about global warming?
In relation with myths and facts about global warming, there is an opinion said that carbon dioxide is not originates from human activities. Do you agree?
Inside this article, we give you information which might be useful for you to understand better about the relation of carbon dioxide and global warming.
The structure of this article is as follows:
- Opinions: carbon dioxide not originates from human activities
- The Facts
- Conclusion
We wish you a very happy learning!
Opinions: Carbon dioxide not originates from human activities
Points to consider:
Carbon dioxide has natural sources, for example we as human exhale it, and animals also exhale it. Volcanoes can be another example of carbon dioxide natural sources. Therefore, human activities perhaps are not the major contributor of the increasing carbon dioxide concentration globally.
The Facts
- Natural processes release large quantities of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. As a part of natural processes, the atmosphere removes it at nearly equal rates.
- The natural cycle maintained the amount of carbon dioxide at a constant level for millenniums.
- In relation with global warming, a question is arising, “What causes the increase of carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere?” The most possible answer would be incontrovertible.
- The carbon dioxide that originates from human activities (burning of fossil fuels) has a unique “fingerprint”.
- This “fingerprint” can be seen by scientists from the isotopic composition of carbon.
Conclusion
Human activities emit carbon dioxide to the atmosphere in a very large quantity frequently. Furthermore, the isotopic composition of carbon dioxide which originates from human activities is harder to be removed by the atmosphere compared to the carbon dioxide from the natural sources.
Consequently, the earth temperature increases due to the inability of nature to process “human-made” carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Be active in preserving our environment and preventing global warming. Let’s make our world a better place for the entire people. Above all, let’s start from ourselves.
