You might have heard about the dangers global warming presents to the earth, to the humans and the animals. Scientists have predicted that global warming, caused due to the emission of greenhouse gases can cause rise in sea levels, floods, and storms etc..But, few scientists and researchers feel that the negative impact of global warming is over exaggerated. In fact, global warming may do us a great deal good. Here are a few reasons why global warming might be good for you:
10. Decreased Cold Related Deaths: Every year, many people are killed in the winter due to cold spells. Global warming can warm up the earth and reduce the number of cold spells, thereby, protecting several people from cold-induced deaths

Although, global warming can make us frown, we tend to overlook all the above benefits. What more, global warming can expose huge amounts of oil, natural gas, and platinum, diamond, iron and other minerals. All this can definitely improve the business opportunities and push the economy to the top. After all, global warming might be good for you.
I am doing an essay on how man kind does not contribute to global warming, and i think that the 10 reasons above are pretty stupid. Especially the last one- who would climb previously ice capped mountains to see a bit of green?

My friend and I are reasearching on why Global Warming can be good, and these ten reasons are really good, except for the last one. I think its really idiotic to think about tourism when the world might become insuitable for living beings.

Well, Rachel, the average temperature is experiencing a net gain in temperature, and carbon dioxide levels are rising. I certainly feel that there are contributions to global warming by human beings, but not all of the effects are “doom and gloom” Carbon-Dioxide under pressure with magnesium or calcium helps produce carbonates, which are especially valuable in agriculture, in addition, more atmospheric CO2 helps a variety of plants grow more effectively, because CO2 is the limiting reagent in photosynthesis, and most of a plant’s mass is from CO2. I agree that global warming is portrayed overwhelmingly negative. But the truth is that there are positive aspects to it as well. We just need to accept the inevitable truth of this unstoppable global warming and adapt to it. As far as losing glaciers goes, it’s about time to produce loads of our own fresh water from the ocean through desalination, through, you guessed it, primarily nuclear power, but other energies as well. It’s about time we made the technological advances we made a long time ago, and stop dwelling on the negatives. Global Warming is opening loads of great trade, agriculture, and business opportunities.

I think Global Warming will be a great thing for humanity. The earth will heat up and reach an equilibrium where everywhere in the world will be inhabitable year round with little or no shelter needed. There will be much more available land, due to the lowering of sea levels, not rising! Ice takes up more volume than water does, so the sea levels will really lower; and look at all the ice bergs, 90% of them are below the surface of the water. Plus a lot of water will go to the atmosphere as you have stated.
Food will be abundant, as it will be a perfect environment for life. So everyone could choose to live off the land when this finally takes place, and stop having to work meaningless jobs. This is exactly why the government is trying to stop global warming. So that they can still have control over the human populace, and be the most wealthy, greedy, monster that they can be.

Far too many hippy extremists posting here, are people really that ignorant to how dead on these 10 reasons are?! Maybe not the last reason.. but the others are 100% correct.
-If you claim global warming is bad and an unnatural process you have no clue and should go get an education. The earth has been warming for 10,000 years, that’s 9,850 years prior to humans ever emitting CO2. To claim we are causing the earth to warm is the most ignorant statement anyone can claim these days.
-Warming temperatures means more evaporation of sea’s, which leads to more storms, which leads to more rainfall, providing clean natural water to places that desperately need it. Global temperature rise will lead to more clean water for humans as well, we NEED the earth to warm up.
-FUN FACT! The warmer the planet is, the higher amounts of land/sea life and plant life. When the dinosaurs were basking in our warm and moist planet millions upon millions of years ago, there were endless amounts of life and plants, the large amount of plants provided the very large amount of oxygen needed to support such massive animals, not to mention co2 is the direct food for plants, increasing co2 provides more sustanance for plant life while also increasing planet temperatures which then creates a more wet environment which then leads to more plant life which in turn leads to more oxygen. DO YOU NOT SEE HOW THAT IS BALANCE? Earth is designed to balance co2 and oxygen, to claim that it is bad is to be completely ignorant of the facts.
-NAME ONE BAD THING ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING?! Extinction? Natural, 90% of all life that ever existed has gone extinct through a series of 27 million year cycles that result in mass planet extinction. WE are not the cause, extinction is natural, would you really be happy living with dinosaurs? Their extinction was the key to our rise, as well as the rise of every single animal alive today. You can thank extinction for your own existence.
~You say that water levels would rise? Wrong, they will lower when all that ice melts, most of the ice in the polar caps is below the ocean and takes up 10 times more volume than if it were just water(ice is water and air mixed, duh!)
~Land will become scarce you say? Wrong again! Antartica, the largest land mass on this planet and currently the least habitable, was once a thriving continent free of ice. Melt that ice and you have the largest land mass now available to live on.
~Sea levels will cause people in islands and shorelines to lose their homes, maybe their lives?! SO WHAT, thats their dumb move for living in a place that mother nature deems to be “unsafe” anyways! I mean seriously, do people think they can control the ocean with levee’s in New orleans? Thats the dumbest idea ever, that city should not exist because mother nature doesn’t discriminate, the ocean will go where it wants to go and to try and control the largest single mass of liquid on this planet is utterly ignorant.
We will continue to go through ice age after ice age, warming after warming, for the next few hundred thousand years, up until the 27million year mark where our sun will cause a massive global extinction.
I see literally ZERO negative effects of global warming, if some people die and suffer who cares the planet will be fine, mother nature is far more powerful and able to balance itself than you could ever imagine, so stop trying to meddle with something you simple have no clue about.

If you DON’T CONSIDER BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY YOU ARE BIASED! I already heard all about the eco-freak global warming story, luckily enough its all hearsay, true science and history tells us they are completely ignorant and self righteous to consider we are the cause of global warming, and that its “bad”. Oh I forgot to mention, if you claim that deserts will grow and become huge because of global warming you are wrong YET AGAIN!
Deserts are created from arid dry weather patterns, meaning no moisture. Warm up the planet and you will get more moisture in the air, any place affected by higher temperatures will benefit greatly from more moist weather patterns.
Deserts are the result of global ice age. Water freezes at the caps, locking it out from being spread via storms to places that require it. It is well known that arid cold can result in massive cold deserts, which in turn result in dry warm deserts. A colder environment does not promote plant life and moist air. The colder it is, the less water can remain in the air due to weight, resulting in a massive loss of moisture that gets locked into glaciers, resulting in arrid and dry environments. Don’t think cold means better, cold means dryer environments because the water “should” be in the air ends up getting locked away in glaciers and the polar caps, the water is not doing anything useful up there.
It is a fact that the polar caps were never ice covered continuously, the poles swap their magnetic fields making the north and south swap effectively. Ancient maps show the north pole to be 100% free of ice, as does maps that depict the south pole before our “most recent” ice age, which of course was only one of maybe 5,000 moderate ice age’s that the earth has gone through.
