Cloud-forming Plan To Overturn Global Warming

According to ongoing research studies, every cloud can have a silver lining in the battle against the global warming. So we need to look on the bright side of it.

Have A Look On The Plan

Professor Stephen Salter, a famous engineer working at Edinburgh University, has formulated a plan that can create white clouds over an ocean. Eventually it can halt the appalling water heating that is also associated with the global warming.

He claimed that launching a fleet of cloud-creating whine ships can save our earth. Salter has also been framed earlier for inventing a device called “duck”. This device can generate power by moving up and down on waves.

“We’ve got an explosive with the detonator in it, and when one goes off, it could trigger other explosives. That’s why we need to have a number of solutions. I don’t mean that we should continue burning coal and then just fix the consequences that would be terrible. Just as a revolver has many bullets, we need several ideas,” said Salter.

Albedo, that is the brightness of cloud, is related directly to the amount of heat, which it reflects. Actually, the white clouds are generally more reflective than the darker ones.
Presently, much of the sun’s heat has been reflected by the ice caps. Once the caps start melting, the ocean will take in its energy and consequently warm up. It can cause the climate patterns to change.

What Is The Basic Concept?

The basic concept of Salter is to build such boats that ill sail the ocean and create a spray of small water droplets around which will produce the white clouds. According to him, approximately 400 of these wind-powered boats are needed that cost £100 million. Besides the more difficult part is to produce such droplets that are tiny enough to form clouds.

Salter is going ahead with his struggle and his plan has also been welcomed by Professor Anne Glover, chief scientific adviser for Scotland. She said: “It’s innovative science that is potentially very exciting. You can never stop scientists being inventive. Let’s consider all options.”
