Even though after witnessing the dangerous consequences of global warming, many people are still skeptical about its future severity. Convincing a skeptic about global warming and its effects will be a great way to save the planet from global warming.
Here are some simple ideas for convincing a global warming skeptic:
- In the first place be patient and try to convince the global warming skeptic because chances are there that he/she may not listen to you or may think you are talking nonsense.
- Discuss the scary things and dangers about global warming with the skeptic.
- Talk about global temperature which has been increasing at a greater rate since the past 50 years than at any other point in history.
- Inform the skeptic how our planet has experienced the 10 warmest years ever recorded since 1990.
- Discuss about the severity of hurricanes which occurred recently. Convince him/her that global warming does not increase the number of hurricanes, rather it increases their severity.
- Discuss how greenhouse gases affect global warming.
- Put some questions to the skeptic like, ‘why glaciers are retreating?’, ‘why the population of polar bears and whale are in danger?’, ‘why planktons are moving towards north?’ Explain the answers of these questions which are happening due to global warming.
