Is the Sun causing Global Warming

Posted on July 20, 2007 in Latest News

The sun’s role in global warming has long been a controversial topic.

There are experts who believe that the Sun is no where connected to Global Warming. According to them, Sunspots (magnetic disturbances that appear as dark patches on the sun) have no impact on Global Warming. Though they alter the amount of energy the earth gets from the sun.

Also research suggests that, sunspot-driven changes to the sun’s power, hardly accounts for the climatic changes. These phenomena’s have been observed in historical data from the 17th century to the present.

Whereas on the other hand there are certain experts who believe that complicated solar mechanisms could possibly be driving climate change in ways we don’t yet understand.

Climate change cannot be taken for granted. As unlikely possibilities may capture scientific attention.

According to these experts, there are other mechanisms (like UV rays) acting which causes the sun to influence climate.

Earth’s climatic condition is a puzzle for most of the scientists. Complex Interactions between the Solar wind and Galactic rays tend to affect the atmospheric phenomena on earth.

These puzzles though taking a lot of time to be solved, will definitely be solved one day or the other.
